Elk are also called wapiti, a Native American word that means “light-coloured deer.” No meadow/woodland scene would be complete without this majestic elk.  Elk are related to deer but are much larger than most of their relatives. A bull (male) elk's antlers may reach 4 feet above its head, so that the animal towers 9 feet tall. Great to play with alongside other meadow animals. Beautifully hand carved and hand painted, this mammoth-sized elk is pale grey in colour with the wood grain visible. Sure to be a well loved member of any child’s animal collection.

Handcrafted from maple and beech wood. The watercolours are guaranteed non-toxic and the fine wood grain can still be seen after being painted by hand.
